What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

I finished the final 3 blocks! Tweet! Tweet! 

I loved the center on the original, but wanted to come up with something different from those who have made this quilt. Here's a small paper pieced section.

And then 2 more. It will be slow going since I'm not the best at paper piecing, especially triangle shapes. 

My friend Paula drafted it on Electric Quilt for me. I posted on the Facebook group, Humble Quilts,  because I wasn't sure how to piece this. So many great ideas and lovely photos of quilts others have done with a compass ...

I completed 4 more bird blocks!  Super excited to be nearing the end of the birds.

I have 2 more blocks prepped and ready to applique. 

Here are a few more varied projects I worked on over the weekend. 

This is an oldie Birds in the Air. The next part to do is to make 1/2 blocks. There was too much brain power needed for me to figure that out at the retreat. 

Here's a little mini in process I made using little orphan blocks and a few bits of new reproduction  fabric from my sampler from Two Thimbles. We have a trip planned in a few weeks so I'll get it basted and bring it along for hand quilting. (Wyoming anyone?)
